Preparing to send employees on leave without pay

Actually, the troubled Air India has planned to reduce the number of employees. Under this plan, employees can go on long leave without pay. It has been called Leave Without Pay (LWP). This holiday can be from 6 months to five years. Employees will be selected on the basis of their efficiency, ability, quality of performance, health of employees, etc., who should be sent on leave.

When asked about Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri regarding the matter of sending employees on leave, they said that what other option do we have? Had there been an alternative, there would have been no need to cut costs so much. The government is not in a position to provide huge financial help to airlines.
