Jatin Lalit Singh Founded A Boon for The Readers Of Hardoi, The Bansa Community Library
Jatin Lalit Singh is the founder of The Bansa Community Library which has a goal of instilling a strong reading habit in the village’s children and assisting students studying for competitive exams.
Bansa Community Library is a recognized society in the field of education that is run by Bansa Educational Society. It is the first community library in Hardoi District’s Bansa Village (UP). A group of law students led by Jatin Lalit Singh initiated this project.
Many students had to return home to the hamlet when the lockdown was enacted last year. One of the key motivators for the opening of Bansa Community Library was the recognition that these hopefuls required a location to get coaching.
Bansa Community Library’s mission is to provide a free space for children to read, study, and borrow books. They believe that having access to literature is critical for everyone. They enter a unique world of imagination through books, which helps them live a better life. This is a fundamental right that allows them to exercise their rights.
They primarily have Hindi literature for adults. They provide specific books for various competitions as well as general literature for pupils studying for competitive exams. There are learning textbooks for youngsters. If a student approaches them regarding an exam for which they lack books, the team simply places an order and the books are sent to the student.
The Bansa Community Library currently has 80-90 daily visitors, with about 65 percent of them being women. The library has proven to be a source of growth for the community, from weekly read-aloud sessions to offering a space of seclusion for older readers. They aspire to inspire more such efforts and influence more lives through their operations, despite being the first in Hardoi.
