Founder Of UpKeep Maintenance Management, Ryan Chan
UpKeep Maintenance Management is the leading mobile-first CMMS/Enterprise Asset Management System, helping maintenance teams achieve reliability for your facilities. Ryan Chan is the CEO and Founder of UpKeep Maintenance Management. Gartner has declared them the #1 Maintenance Management Software, and they’ve been named a good place to work in Los Angeles.
Ryan graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in chemical engineering and was named one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for Manufacturing in 2018. He is also a member of the famous Forbes Technology Council. Ryan founded UpKeep as a result of his displeasure with today’s maintenance management software’s lack of mobility.
Ryan Chan has set out on a journey to transform people’s lives. He recognized a flaw in the system after starting his career in a water purification facility and concluded that he could do better. Ryan has always been driven to prove that the impossible is achievable, so he resigned from his job and enrolled in a coding program at a local community college. From his mother’s garage, he created the first version of the UpKeep app, then hired a few more people to help, and the rest is history.
Yamaha, Jet.com, Unilever, and Constellation Brands are among the nearly 160,000 registered users that they have, which range from small businesses to huge corporations. Their goal is to make it as easy as possible for managers to interact with field technicians and for technicians to respond to urgent concerns without having to sift through documentation or return to the office. They make it simple, straightforward, and mobile-first to complete work orders so that everyone can contribute and stay on the same page.
