PUBG

Famous battle royale game PUBG mobile was banned in Indian on 2 September 2020. This ban affected the esports scene in Indian and the situation is at sixes and sevens for players and organisations as well. Many players who selected esports as their primary career are stressed about their future because many players are quite young between the age of 16 to 20 and their parents allowed them to pursue esports because they saw a boost in this field and tournaments of pubg mobile not only gave players the money they needed but also gave them their fanbase and fame and due to pubg mobile many people in India who were unaware of esports came to know about it, team managers, coaches and organisations came in light and everything was going quite smooth.

But after the ban, the audience were affected and streamers switched to different games which were not appealing to many people because pubg mobile was a game which was available for mass whereas for pc games the price of PC’s is very high in our country for a proper gaming pc one will have to invest at least 100 k plus whereas pubg mobile can be played on a 20k phone so the audience was enormous and even players were getting better at the game. In the last PMWL, Asia Finals OR esports secured the second rank but after the ban, many players were sad because they invested 2 years of their life in this game and to make our country proud.

But recently there is some good news that the game might get back after some time because the company which owns PUBG is blue whole gaming and it might break its tie-up with Tencent and give to other non-chinese company so that the game can be relaunched.
