Japanese startup Donut Robotics has developed an internet connected ‘smart mask’, which can transmit messages and translate from Japanese to eight other languages.
According to a report by the news agency Reuters , this white plastic ‘C-mask’ will fit above the standard face mask and will be connected to a smartphone or tablet app via Bluetooth. This app will work like transcribing the speech in a text message, making calls and amplifying the voice of the mask wearer.
