Delhi: OPD service resumed at AIIMS due to corona infection

Due to Corona virus, OPD service was stopped in AIIMS, Delhi for last three months. However now OPD service has been resumed in AIIMS.

Corona virus infection is constantly increasing in the country. The number of corona virus infected patients in the country is moving towards the figure of five lakh. Meanwhile, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has resumed the closed OPD service from today.

Due to corona virus infection, some activities have been braked for the last several months. At the same time, OPD service was stopped in AIIMS, Delhi for the last three months due to Corona virus. However, now OPD service in AIIMS has been resumed from 25 June.

According to AIIMS Medical Superintendent Doctor DK Sharma, currently only old patients will be seen in OPD. At the same time, arrangements have been made to see only 15-15 patients in all departments. Apart from this, if the department wants, then a limited number of new patients can also be called.

Explain that the lockdown was implemented from 25 March in view of the crisis of Corona virus in the country. Due to the lockdown, many kinds of activities in the country were banned. Apart from this, OPD service was stopped in AIIMS for some time due to the continuous increase in the number of patients of corona virus.

At the same time, the number of patients of corona virus is increasing everyday in the country. So far, 473105 patients of corona virus have been confirmed in the country. With this, 14894 people have died due to Corona virus in the country so far. Now 271697 patients of Corona virus have been recovered in the country. At present, there are 186514 active corona cases in the country.
