20 PAK players leave for England on Sunday, 6 out of 10 negative in Corona Test

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Saturday that the report of 6 of the 10 players found to be infected with the Corona virus has been negative.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Saturday that reports of 6 of the 10 players found to have been infected with the Corona virus have come back negative and the team will leave for England on Sunday with 20 players and 11 support staff. The PCB said that the team will leave for Manchester.

PCB chief executive Wasim Khan told reporters that reserve player fast bowler Moosa Khan and wicketkeeper batsman Rohel Nazir have come negative in the investigation and they will also leave with the team.

Wasim Khan made it clear that the 10 players who came positive earlier in the investigation will be sent to England only after two consecutive negative results. In the first investigation, 10 players and one officer were found positive, while 6 of these players came negative in the second investigation.

Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan and Wahab Riaz have come negative in the second test, while Hyder Ali, Haris Rauf, Kashif Bhatti and Imran Khan have returned positive. Malang Ali, a masseur in the team, has also come positive in the Kovid-19 investigation.

Khan said that if the players also come negative in the third round of PCB investigation next week, then they will leave for England tour. He said, ‘I know that Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz have got themselves tested before the PCB investigation and their result has come negative. According to the PCB policy, they will have to come twice negative in the PCB process.

He said, “If the result of their investigation is negative again under the PCB test program, then they will be ready to join the team going to England.” The team players will remain in isolation after reaching England.

The Pakistani party will have to remain in ‘segregation’ in Worcester for 14 days. After this he will be sent to ‘The Incora County Ground’ in Derbyshire on 13 July. The team will be preparing there for the first test. The 3-Test series between England and West Indies will run till 28 July.

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has said that the schedule of the series against Pakistan will be announced soon. In the tour, 3 Tests and as many T20 matches will be played without spectators.
